Clinical Education Documentation

Three clinical rotations across sports, skilled nursing, and outpatient orthopedic settings.

1

California Rehabilitation & Sports Therapy – San Jose

Sports and Outpatient Orthopedics

My first clinical rotation was in an outpatient orthopedic and sports setting. The clinic had a strong focus on ACL rehabilitation and knee injuries, while also giving me exposure to a wide variety of general orthopedic conditions.

This experience helped me develop skills in exercise progression, movement analysis, post-operative rehabilitation, patient education, and return-to-sport planning.

2

Pleasanton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

Skilled Nursing Facility

In this setting, I worked with patients recovering from stroke, orthopedic surgeries, and other complex medical conditions. I gained experience with hip precautions, weight-bearing restrictions, vital signs, assistive devices, PPE, isolation precautions, MMT grades, and Functional Independence Measures.

This rotation taught me how important safety, adaptability, and communication are when working with a medically complex patient population.

3

Tri-City Physical Therapy

General Outpatient Orthopedics

My final rotation was in a general outpatient orthopedic clinic. I treated patients with post-operative joint replacements, low back pain, headaches, and a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

This experience helped me refine my clinical reasoning, therapeutic exercise planning, patient communication, and confidence in outpatient orthopedic care.
